1-408-490-0404 * There are heating systems in dorm room/meditation hall/dining hall. We will provide big towels to keep leg warm during sitting meditation. The center currently don't have enough blanket. So please bring a blanket with you if you need it. * Please bring toothbrush, mugs, pillows, slipper, bath towel, sleeping bags or bed sheet & quilt. There won't be enough time for laundry because of the tight schedule of meditation and class. So please bring enough clothes for the days that you stay. * If you need transportation assistance, please let us know. * Please keep silent during the retreat except for the Q&A session. Please try not to chat with others or talking to yourself. * There is no cell phone coverage in the center. * Please prepare socks for walking meditation since the floor is cold. Non-Slip/Skid Resistant socks are better. * Hot water/tea and snack are served in the dining hall for the whole day. Please feel free to take them. * Each sitting meditation session ends after you hearing sound of the inverted bell "ding .. ding ... ". You will also hear that in the morning as wake up call. * If you get lost when coming to the retreat center, please go backward 1 or 2 miles where cell phone signal is available and call us at 1-408-490-0404. ________________________________________ * If you didn't learn any way of meditation, please start with breath counting meditation: Bring your attention to your breath, count each out breath from 1 to 10: inhaling...exhaling "1", inhaling...exhaling "2", inhaling...exhaling "3", ... ... inhaling...exhaling "9", inhaling...exhaling "10", inhaling...exhaling "1", inhaling...exhaling "2", ... If you lose track, start over at 1. If you have stray thoughts, just let it go and continue with the counting. Don't try to suppress it, fight with it or blame yourself for it. Don't try to control or alter your breath intentionally. Please just count it.

Zen master will make adjustments on schedule depends on everyday’s progress and situation. Other teaching, outdoor activities and 1-1 Q&A will also be scheduled by Zen master.
